Winter 2026
Workshop

Tech Tactics

This session is intended to open a dialogue among general music teachers about the ways they currently use technology in their classrooms. What things are you doing now? Can you show us? What things have you seen and would like to try to implement, but don't have the means or know-how yet. Where do you think this is going and how do we get there? Can we use technology in better ways than we are? These are all questions that we will wrestle with together. Music technology is a powerful tool for educators and every new advancement brings an opportunity to do what we do better.

Suggested session materials -
  1. Bring a device that has some sort of music production software on it if you have one. My preferred app is GarageBand, but any will work.
  2. Bring a lesson of yours that incorporates music technology if you have one.
